Signs your system is ready to be replaced
Most homeowners wait until the system fails completely in the middle of August. If you’re seeing several of these, it’s worth having a conversation now on your schedule, not the weather’s.
- The system is 12 to 15 years old or more
- You’ve had repeated repairs in the last two or three seasons
- It uses R-22 refrigerant, which is no longer produced and expensive to source
- Energy bills keep climbing while your usage stays the same
- Some rooms never get comfortable no matter what you set the thermostat to
- The unit runs constantly, or is noticeably louder than it used to be
- A repair quote is approaching a third or more of the cost of a new system
What a Covenant Climate Installation Includes
A system is only as good as the installation behind it. These aren’t upgrades they’re what we consider the baseline for doing the job right.
A Proper Load Calculation
We size the system to your actual home square footage, insulation, windows, ductwork and orientation. We don’t simply match whatever tonnage the old unit happened to be.
A Clear Written Quote
Good, better and best options laid out side by side with real numbers efficiency ratings, warranty terms, and what each one actually means for your comfort and your power bill. Take it home and think about it.
Permits & Code Compliance
We pull the permits your city requires and install per city and mechanical codes. It means the work stands up to inspection.
Ductwork Evaluation
A brand new system pushing air through leaking or undersized ducts will never perform the way it should. We check the ducts before we quote, and we tell you if they need attention.
Haul-Away & Cleanup
The old equipment leaves with us. Drop cloths go down before we start, and we leave your home the way we found it or cleaner.
Startup, Testing & Walkthrough
We verify airflow, refrigerant charge and temperature split before we call it finished then we walk you through your new thermostat and filter schedule so nothing is a mystery.

AC Installation FAQs
How much does a new AC system cost?
It depends on the size of your home, the efficiency level you choose, and the condition of your existing ductwork and electrical. Anyone who quotes you a price over the phone without seeing your home is guessing. That’s why our in-home estimates are free you get a real number, in writing, with no obligation.
How long does an installation take?
Most straightforward system replacements are finished in one day. Jobs that involve ductwork modifications, electrical changes, or a change in system type can take longer, and we’ll tell you that clearly in the quote rather than discovering it halfway through.
Should I replace the furnace at the same time?
Often, yes. The indoor and outdoor units are engineered to work as a matched pair, and pairing a new condenser with an aging furnace or air handler usually costs you efficiency and can affect your warranty. If your heating equipment is close in age, replacing both together typically costs less than doing them separately a few years apart. We’ll show you the math and let you decide.
What size system do I need?
That’s what the load calculation determines. Bigger is not better an oversized system short-cycles, never removes humidity properly, and wears out early. An undersized one runs constantly and never catches up. We measure so you get the right one.
Do you offer financing?
We don’t currently offer in-house financing. Give us a call and we’ll be straightforward about what your options look like.
Are you licensed and insured to do this work?
Yes we are licensed and insured. Our license is regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
