Heat Pumps & Ductless Mini-Splits
One efficient system that both heats and cools and ductless options for the rooms your existing system was never designed to reach.
Efficient heating and cooling in one system
Heat pumps move heat instead of generating it, which makes them a strong fit for North Texas long cooling seasons and mild winters are exactly the conditions where they perform best.
- One system, both seasons — no separate furnace required
- Lower operating costs than electric resistance heat
- No combustion, so no gas line and no carbon monoxide concern
- Excellent fit for all-electric homes and additions
- Modern units handle Texas cold snaps far better than older generations did
For the rooms that are never comfortable
Every home has one the bonus room over the garage, the sunroom, the converted attic, the workshop. A ductless mini-split conditions that space directly without extending or rebuilding your ductwork.
- Garages and workshops that are unusable half the year
- Room additions the original system can’t keep up with
- Bonus rooms and converted attics that run hot or cold
- Older homes with no existing ductwork at all
- Home offices and sunrooms needing independent control
- Quiet operation and room-by-room temperature setting
Heat Pump & Mini-Split FAQs
Do heat pumps actually work in Texas winters?
Very well. Our winters are mild and short, which is the range heat pumps are most efficient in, and today’s equipment performs far better in cold weather than units from twenty years ago. Systems here are also fitted with supplemental heat for the handful of genuinely cold days we get.
How many mini-split heads can one outdoor unit run?
Single-zone systems pair one outdoor unit with one indoor head. Multi-zone systems can typically support anywhere from two to five heads on one outdoor unit, each with its own temperature setting. We’ll size it around the actual rooms you want to condition.
Is a mini-split cheaper than extending my ductwork?
Frequently, yes especially for a single room. Running new ducts means opening walls or ceilings and often means your existing system is now undersized for the added load. A mini-split avoids both problems and gives that room its own thermostat.
Are they noisy?
No they’re among the quietest options available. The compressor sits outside, and indoor heads typically run around the volume of a quiet conversation. That’s a large part of why they work so well in bedrooms and offices.
